European affiliate programme takes off for Scandinavian Airlines with TradeDoubler
24th March 2009 - TradeDoubler, the international digital marketing company, today announces that it has been appointed by leading international airline, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), to manage its affiliate marketing programme. Northern Europe's largest airline aims to boost its internet presence and sales in the increasingly competitive travel market through TradeDoubler's extensive pan-European affiliate network.
The deal sees TradeDoubler initially launch the programme in the UK and Ireland and continuing to roll out across Spain, France and The Netherlands in the coming days.
TradeDoubler was appointed on the strength of its expertise in the European affiliate market without a competitive pitch. TradeDoubler's European foothold, further strengthened by Comscore's January 2009 figures which show a 76.2% European online audience reach*, was a significant factor in SAS's decision.
The affiliate programme will complement SAS's existing online efforts to look for innovative solutions in driving sales, maximising ROI and providing an effective online service for SAS customers via their various local websites.
